Animal Hospital Manager

The Animal Hospital Manager oversees all aspects of the care, rehabilitation, and release of injured, sick, and orphaned animals, including a variety of songbirds, raptors, corvids, water birds, as well as reptiles and amphibians. We take in wildlife, as well as domestic and exotic animals.  
 
The Hospital Manager is responsible for the overall strategic leadership and daily management of all direct animal care activities, training and supervision of animal care staff and volunteers at the hospital, and those that provide care through CWR’s home care program. 

Vet Tech

We are looking for an experienced veterinary technician. We will consider someone with a strong veterinary or bird heavy background as well. This is a high-volume facility with annual intakes over 7000. We believe all life has value regardless of species.

This candidate for this position must be committed to caring for a wide range of wildlife as well as domestic animals including farm animals, domestic birds and fowl, exotics. In addition, we have a robust baby songbird

Spring/Summer 2024 Wildlife Rehabilitation Interns

Love animals? Carolina Waterfowl Rescue is a non-profit organization that takes in, rehabilitates, and releases 8000 orphaned or sick animals annually. We are accepting applications for fall and winter interns. 

Note this is a position with a stipend paid at the satisfactory completion of the Internship. $250/for part time position and $500/for full time position. 

Applicants must be 16 years or older and have a current provable tetanus shot. 

Farmhand

CWR is seeking a part time farmhand to join our team in Indian trail, NC. Hours vary. We are open 7 days a week 8 am to 9pm during the summer; 8-6:00 during winter.

Must be willing to work weekends and/or holidays. This is a physically demanding position please review the responsibilities.

 Resident Animal Care Coordinator and Shift Leader

This is a dual role encompassing all aspects of the care of our resident animals. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, detail oriented, FLEXIBLE, able to multitask, discreet and outgoing. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment where each day may be different than the next.

We are a small team so you must be a team-player and willing to assist in duties outside of the job description when required.
