Volunteer Opportunities with CWR

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Carolina Waterfowl Rescue! We are in Indian Trail, North Carolina but we also have volunteer positions available across the state and US. Below is a description of our volunteer jobs, where they are based, and the days and times we currently need the most help. They are broken up into 3 categories: Weekly on-site, Weekly remote, and Flexible Days and Times.

We hope that one of these opportunities interests you and will allow you to support our mission of Rescue, Rehabilitate, Release of wildlife, and Adopt selected domestic animals.

All on-site volunteers must by 16 years or older.  Seasonal baby bird feeder volunteers, of 16 and older are able to apply.

On-site weekly shifts require attending a 2.5-hour orientation conducted by a volunteer or staff member.  These sessions are scheduled several times a month and allow applicants to ask questions and find the best position to fit their interests and skills.

Pre-registration is required before attending! No Exceptions!

All other volunteers do not need to attend the orientation sessions. Instead, you will have an opportunity to speak with a CWR representative prior to your first session and will receive an orientation designed for your position.
